Its a bit harder to find them instores now but its still showing up as available at LEGOShop.

TRU.com had them lastnight. Keep your eye on it as it might be back instock for the BOGO50 deal.

What are the chances a hard to find will go on sale? Is this set being discontinued?

doh! that's correct not part of bogo50.

This set was on sale for $50 from blackfriday to xmas last year. I don't know how long it's been out since I just got out of the dark ages last year.

Set came out June 2009, so if it's on a two year life cycle it'll be discontinued just in time for everyone to start picking up 7956 Ewok Attack.

This set saw a good number of sale prices over the holidays. $50 at Target was the cheapest I saw, but it was VERY hard to find it at that price. i lucked into one - it was marked full price on the shelf, but when I scanned it, it came up as $50.

I seem to remember others having it on sale for about $80 (at which time I picked it up too!)

It will depend on their remaining stock by the Fall timeframe in my opinion. Some sets linger FOREVER on sale, others just disappear, catching everyone off guard.

Best deal I ever saw was at TRU when they dropped the price below list and you could stack several of the promos and coupons in Nov-Dec.
