Woohoo!!! This is what we have been waiting for. Lego after xmas sale. I got the latest calendar yesterday and it shows that the sale will start after xmas until 12/31. It does say that "availability varies by store locations". So save your pennies now. I can't say what is on sale so happy hunting.

Yes I have it but don't have a camera right now to post it. The minifigs are coming out some time in January unlike the 26th of December for UK. Between Monday 26th and Saturday 31st of December is when the sale is going to be for instore. It doesn't say anything about online. Jan 3rd is the monthly build. Between 5th and 6th is a free green ninjago bandana with $35 purchase. The coupons are free Kedo jay booster pack with $75 purchase. $50 off on ninjago battle arena pack with $50 purchase.

First post was at Fri Dec 24, 2010 5:11 pm. So the sale probably started right at 5pm. That's probably showing PST for me, so that would be 8pm on the east coast.

Iirc, everything decent sold out within minutes. The next day you could only find stuff like keychains or that hideous Toy Story zerg set, etc.

The real trick is getting to a LEGO store the day after X-Mas if you miss anything good online. I wish I'd been able to get Space Police Central at half off...

I thought there were still good deals on the Lego minifigure magnets sets that weren't glued though, weren't there? I got a couple of midi star destroyers too that I really wanted. I thought Walmart went crazy all at one time too...

Wal-Mart usually has sets at about 60% off after X-Mas. I remember a bunch of Space Police sets, some normally $30 for $12, some $40 for $22. The Atlantis Portal was only 50% off but off a $100, I wasn't complaining. Some of the clearances weren't so great, maybe 20%.

The sale doesn't actually start until Dec 28th, so really don't bother going to the store or online until after I clean them out, er, I mean, until then

Last year there was great availability in the stores on the 26th and even the 27th. I picked up a bunch of the PoP sets at 50% off. Plus Target had a bunch of stuff on 50% off clearance starting on the 26th, and some of that lasted for about a week. I think I remember Shop@Home being pretty well sold out on the 26th however.

I'd argue that whatever "sale" or "coupon" is on the calendar is not the same as their after X-Mas clearance, which goes on until those items are sold out. I got stuff was late as 5 January, such as Space Police 3 sets. Last year there were over a hundred items on clearance, not sale. I don't recall if all of the PoP were clearanced or just some, since some of the sets are still available at Lego.com for only about 20% off.

Actually most of those sets were sold out prior to the sale, they probably had them set to automatically go on sale whether they were on sale or not.

I also seem to remember that there were subsequent markdowns of the clearance items in the following weeks.
I recall placing an order in late January for a bunch of sets that were heavily marked down.
